President

Meet our President, Nancy Lapointe

Nancy Lapointe graduated from University of Lowell, and received her Masters Nursing Science degree from Regis college in Wellsley, MA. Nancy retired recently after a 23 year career with the Department of Veterans Affairs, where she served as the VHA Office of Finance, Director Clinical Support. Nancy was a volunteer member of the Federal Disaster Emergency Medical Program, or DEMPs, for several years, deploying throughout the U.S. during several National Emergencies. Prior to joining the VA, Nancy had a 25 year career as a surgical nurse at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA. Nancy currently lives in Center Conway with her husband Dale Morrison. Nancy initially became involved with RMAA in 2013 when she brought her dog Luna, a rescue from Puerto Rico, to RMAA to be spayed. With a long career as a surgical nurse in Boston Nancy said that she was very impressed with the RMAA program, clinic processes and professionalism in the compassionate staff. She immediately became an active volunteer and advocate for the program. In 2016, Nancy was elected to the RMAA Board of Directors. Nancy and Dale have always been a two fur baby family, currently with Simba, a mix breed from the streets of Puerto Rico, and Greta, a mix breed from Yorkie911Rescue. Nancy has been a lifelong animal advocate,  and has enjoyed fostering several rescues.  Nancy most enjoys spending time with Dale, and their dogs. They enjoy hiking, gardening and summer road trips to Cousins Island, off the Maine Coast.
